Yes, This Is Still Analog Avenue
by Paul McGoldrick

You may have gotten to this page by re-direct from our previous edtn.com address, or you may have found us through a search engine. Perhaps you came to ChipCenter to explore after reading about the new venture created by our original owners and, now, major distributors. Whichever way, you are here, and this is the same Analog Avenue that has been online for nearly two years.

We have strived to provide design engineers with timely, accurate information to help them in their jobs. We have reviewed hundreds of analog products week-after-week; we have provided the views of a number of major companies and individuals in the analog semiconductor business. We will continue to do so. All the information that we have generated to date has been archived on our new servers; it is all here for you to enjoy.

After receiving a few e-mails from concerned readers about pressures that may be brought to bear by manufacturers (this followed my last Editorial about what my definition of a real product entailed) I have to say that those readers do not understand me. I am not easy to coerce; the majority of the PR people at the major vendors understand that I follow my own judgment and care little for foolishness. If I understand the market for a new product, believe that the product is real, and feel that the product will make a financial impact in that market for the vendor, then that product will be covered in these pages.

We will continue to grow in these pages; we will continue to offer the best information that we can. We believe we offer a unique perspective for the analog engineer and will continue to provide more analog coverage than any print or online publication.
