New ProductsHigh Performance SBC

The Elan104-NC is a single board computer based on the100MHz AMD Elan 486SX (SC400) microcontroller. The PC/104-compatible board features up to 16 Mbytes of EDO DRAM, up to eight Mbytes of Flash Disk, 10base-T Ethernet and 128Kbytes of battery-backed SRAM. The board is designed for harsh environments and is useful in transportation, automation, and communication applications.

A Chips & Technologies 65550 HiQ Video graphics accelerator provides support for STN, TFT and EL flat panel displays as well as CRT XVGA. The board is capable of driving high-resolution modes on CRT and flat panel displays simultaneously. Support is also provided for Floppy and hard disk drives as well as non-volatile silicon disk in flash. I/O ports include three fast serial ports, keyboard, mouse, LPT and GPIO. The Eurocard format Elan104-NC measures 4x6" and includes a full compliment of power management utilities, which makes it ideal for areas that have restricted airflow.

The board comes with Datalight's ROM-DOS pre-installed and has the backing of a full suite of software development tools, including drivers for Windows CE, QNX, and FIashFX. Fully packaged Development Kits for the standard board, Windows CE and QNX are available to reduce development lead times and to provide all technical data and software utilities.

The ELAN104-NC with 4MB DRAM and 4MB Flash sells for $409 (Quantity 100).
