Controller
Development Kit
The Jackrabbit BL1800 is a high-performance
C-programmable controller with a compact form factor. Computing speed
is provided by a Rabbit 2000 microprocessor operating at 29.5 MHz.
It is ideal for machine control and for applications that typically
call for a Basic STAMP or PlC controller.

Twenty-four CMOS-compatible I/O lines
are provided along with three analog channels (2 D/A and 1 A/D) and
four high-power outputs. Three of the high-power outputs are capable
of sinking up to one amp and are protected for direct driving of inductive
loads. Two RS-232 ports support serial communication up to 115K baud.
An additional 5V, CMOS-compatible serial port communicates up to 3.75
MHz and acts as a programming port for added design flexibility. Five
8-bit timers and one 10-bit timer with two match registers are on-board.
Four of the 8-bit timers can be cascaded. A real-time clock provides
time/date data, and a watchdog supervisor is standard.
Software for the Jackrabbit is developed
using industry-proven Dynamic C, an integrated C-language development
package that includes an interactive compiler, editor, and debugger
- making the Jackrabbit easy to program and develop. This close integration
of hardware and software reduces the OEM's development time and costs.
A complete Jackrabbit development kit
is available. The kit includes the Jackrabbit model BL1810 controller,
Dynamic C/Rabbit software, prototyping board, manual, schematics,
12V power supply, smart PC-to-board cable, accessories, and documentation
CD ROM.
The Jackrabbit controller, BL1810 starts
at just $49, quantity one. The Jackrabbit Development Kit sells for
$139.
