In this series, Iıll show you how to
make a file manager for an HC11. You may ask, "Why a file manager?"
Well, with the file manager that Iıll be discussing, you can store
multiple programs and keep them organized, without having to memorize
the addresses of where you stored them all. All you do is type "r"
and then select the program you wish to run. And, if you need
another reason, because itıs fun!
I developed this file manager because
over half of my HC11s were set up with at least 32 Kb of external
RAM. Having this memory was great, but I usually stored only one program
in it. Therefore, I had a lot of extra memory that wasnıt being used.
So, I decided to store multiple programs in the 32 Kb of RAM, but
I kept forgetting where I stored all the programs. That was when I
decided that I needed something that would remember all the addresses
of every program installed.te
