THE DESIGN AND DETAILS
The design is assembled on a 5 ý 5 cm
breadboard card. A flat cable about 30 cm long connects the board
to the parallel port of the PC. The LTC1286 should be used with an
analog ground plane and single-point ground techniques. You should
tie the Gnd pin of the LTC1286 directly to the ground plane. The power
supply voltage (5 V on pin 8 (VCC)) must be kept free of
noise and ripple by bypassing directly to the analog ground plane.
The VCC pin should be bypassed to the ground plane with
a 1- to 10-ýF tantalum capacitor with leads as short as possible.
