Researcher's
Guide
'Ask Us' is a premier
on-line source of practical technical information for engineers,
hardware and software designers, and programmers. Following
the tradition established by Steve Ciarcia in Circuit Cellar
Magazine, we pride ourselves in providing expert help to those
in need.
What are we
doing with Ask Us?
Just as Circuit Cellar
magazine's readers' passion for computers and electronics has
set us apart as a technological magazine. We want to bring more
of the good stuff on-line. For many visitors, computers are
not only the focus of their professional lives, but also of
their leisure time. What could be a more comfortable way of
sharing good technical information than contributing some of
your knowledge to other readers.
Through Ask Us, we
want to provide a web-site where visitors can ask tough questions
in areas that may not be their area of expertise. Engineers
and Professionals like you answer those questions because you
want to share the techniques, tools, and information and experience
you've gathered over the years. But, it doesn't stop there,
while the Q&As are posted monthly, we expect others to comment
on what we've presented. We will update these comments in real
time to keep the momentum and conversation going.
Questions from visitors
are compiled into a single list . Researchers are free to view
this at any time (it's not available to visitors). At that point,
researchers can select any question(s) from the list that they
want to answer. When a researcher selects a question(s) he or
she simply e-mails their interest in answering it and we take
it off the list (so we don't have a bunch of researchers all
answering the same question). Once assigned, you will have the
responsibility to complete the answers to the questions you've
taken. You will be paid for that answer when it is approved
by us.
Your answer is published
as viewable HTML along with the original question. Q&As are
updated monthly. After a month, the Q&A moves to the archive
area where it will remain indefinitely. Comments to each Q&A
are placed into a continually updated comment's page remaining
linked to the Q&A. answer.
