New ProductsPMC Gigabit Ethernet Products

The PMC-Gigabit-DTX offers two high-performance PMC peripheral component interconnect (PCI) standard bus interface controller ports and two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces using two Intel 82543 Gigabit Ethernet controllers. The controller interfaces to the PMC bus via an Intel 21154 bridge chip supporting 32- and 64-bit PCI up to 66 MHz. The board was specifically designed for applications requiring high-speed data throughput and low latency transmission, such as high-speed image transfer, critical industrial control operations, and data communications applications.

The board includes 64 KB of FIFO buffer memory per port, allowing back-to-back transmissions with minimum interface latency. It also features a 10BaseTx, 100BaseTx, and 1000BaseT auto-detection CSMA/CD interface controller. The physical interface is supported via Marvell 88E1020 PHY, which offers a number of sophisticated features.

Full-duplex mode is fully supported and Half-duplex mode is supported in 10BaseTx and 100BaseTx.

The PMC-Gigabit-DTX is available for $1,380.
