TRANSMIT DATA

Task 4, shown in Figure 4, waits for the Enter key to be pressed before sending the line of keyed-in data. While the data is being transmitted, setting the kb_disable bit inhibits the keyboard-scanning task. After a delay of 2 s, the line is blanked and the keyboard scanning is enabled again.

Figure 4ýFour states control the transmission of serial data. A data ready flag initiates the transmission. On completion, there is a 2-s delay before the LCD line is blanked.
