THE SOFTWARE
The last issue to discuss is what software
to use. If you havenıt figured it out by now, Iım a big fan of C.
Itıs a perfect match for what weıre trying to accomplishıbring up
a basic operating system, perform a simple monitor function, run tests
on the hardware, and transfer the code to the final operating environment.
Iıve left out any discussion of the BIOS, OS, RTOS, and the like.
Once we get the hardware working, then we can load almost any software.
This might be shooting myself in the foot
and asking for a lot of trouble, but Iıd like some feedback about
where youıd like this design discussion to go. Contact me through
the newsgroup local.cconline.trenches.
If Iım developing too much of a low-power low-performance product
and you need higher performance, let me know and Iıll modify the direction.
