Hand-Held Terminal

The ProMotion is the latest addition to a family of rugged hand-held terminals. Designed with an eye on motion control, the terminal boasts both a double-pole, three-position (off, on, off) "Liveman" switch plus a double-pole E-Stop (emergency stop). The three-position design of the switch provides a closed circuit when depressed to a mid-point. If the switch is released, or depressed fully, the switch circuit is opened. The mushroom cap E-Stop switch provided with the terminal is easily activated with a push/turn motion. When the switch is depressed, the circuits are opened (e.g., this could be used to halt machine operation).

The device also features a large screen LCD display with both text and graphics capabilities, contrast control, and optional backlight. Additional options include LED indicator capabilities and programmable display characters. The exceptional size and clarity of its LCD makes the device ideal where long-term readability is a must, and ANSI 3.64 (VT-700) compatibility makes it the perfect hand-held solution for existing products.

Multiple keypad layouts and an optional backlit keypad are available with either standard or custom graphics. The keypad surface is securely framed and clamped into place to ensure excellent splash resistance and prevent curling or peeling of the keypad overlay. The device also has numerous case color options.
