Single Board Computer
The SBC-PII is an industrial single
board computer based on the socket 370 Celeron processor. The board
features speeds up to 500 MHz and a 100-MHz front side bus to provide
the processing horsepower for the most demanding graphics and number-crunching
applications.

On-board memory includes 128 megabytes of Synchronous DRAM, and dual IDE ports which permit two devices each. The IDE ports also support Ultra DMA/33 for faster disk access. Also featured are two RS-232 ports, two RS-232/422 ports, one parallel port, mouse and keyboard/speaker connectors, 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, and Sonalert output.
Dual USB ports are included for true "plug and play" expansion. Using a riser card, three PCI slots can be added for functions like A/D, video processing, a SCSI adapter card, etc. Four ISA slots are also available.
The SBC-PII is designed to directly drive flat panel displays. It features the C&T 69030 video controller for display resolutions up to 1280x1024 with 24-bit color. The chip's Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) further enhances video speed.
An onboard temperature monitoring feature lets
the user program software to ring an alarm if the ambient temperature
exceeds specifications. A fan monitor keeps track of fan speed, and
a power supply monitor measures the voltage on board for diagnostics.
Sample code for all monitoring functions is provided to facilitate
their ease of use.
The SBC-PII measures just 5.75" x 8",
and is rated for 0-65ęC. Power requirements are +5V @ 4A, +12V @ 0.4A,
and 12V @ 0.2A.
The SBC-PII sells for $690 in 500 quantity.
