NEW PRODUCT NEWSedited by John Gorsky

New ProductsHigh-Current, Low-Profile RF Chip Inductors

The Pulse miniature radio frequency (RF) chip inductor family features high inductance, high current rating and low DC resistance in an industry standard 0805 package size (2.0 ý 12 mm).

Released as a series of ten individual part numbers, these inductors meet the needs of designs that demand miniaturization. With their small footprint and high stability, they are suitable for a wide range of applications including general signal conditioning and RF filtering in personal computers and other consumer electronics.

The chip inductors have wirewound ferrite core construction with tin/lead coated terminations for reliable soldering. Inductances range from 1ýH to 33 ýH, with corresponding minimum Qs ranging from 15 to 10. Standard tolerance is plus or minus10 percent and plus or minus 5 percent across the line. Wirewound, ferrite core construction allows a minimum SRF of 17-63 MHz. Maximum DC resistance ranges from 1.20 W to 10.7 W. Maximum rated DC current is 60-245 mA.

These SMT parts are available in 2000 pieces per reel at 4-mm pitch, compatible with all contemporary pick-and-place processes. Contact Pulse directly for samples and volume pricing. Please refer to data sheet W709 for additional information on these inductors.
