Evaluation Kits
The SMA KLZ8519PEK peripheral
engine evaluation kit is a support tool that helps designers develop
IrDA-Control compliant peripheral devices. The package includes a
PC-based evaluation board and sample software to capture IrDA-Control
infrared communication data packets. It may be used to develop peripheral
device software.

The kit includes a printed wiring board,
Sharp GP2W2001YK infrared transceiver, Sharp IrDA-Control Peripheral
engine, RS-232C PC interface board, and software for a keyboard emulation
program.
The KLZ85202 host evaluation controller
with USB I/F is a communications controller with USB interface that
fully supports IrDA-Control communication services. You can implement
an IrDA Control Host device with eight wireless peripherals, such
as mice and keyboards.
The kit includes the LZ85202 communication
controller with a USB card to interface with a PC, all required functions
for IrDA Control communication, an optimized interface to the Sharp
IrDA control transceiver (GP2W2001YK), and an optimized USB transceiver
