NEW PRODUCT NEWSedited by Harv Weiner

New ProductsFrequency Module

The MCR-f/UI-DC frequency module can accept 20-KHz signals from Namur sensors, proximity switches, dry contacts, and encoders and convert them to standard analog outputs. It accepts a 0-to-20mA or 0-to-10 VDC analog input signal and provides isolation and conversion of that signal.

One module is required for all applications, so cost is reduced. Programming of the MCR-f/UI module is done with the front panel display or Windows-based programming software. The four-digit LCD displays input frequency in RPM or Hz. A programmable division feature (between 0.1 and 9999) allows accurate RPM display when multiple targets are required, or for precise positioning applications.

A 1500-V three-way isolation between input, output, and power provides high accuracy measurements. The output signals are 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 VDC, and 0 to10 VDC, and the inverses of each. The PNP transistor output can source 100 mA of current for alarm/control applications. Wire break, power-on delay, and zero/span adjustments are standard features.

The MCR-f/UI module costs $299.
