Industrial
I/O System
The EDAS CE
is part of a new generation of industrial Ethernet I/O systems. Isolated
digital and analog I/O, 10/l00BaseT Ethernet, Windows CE, Visual C++,
and Visual Basic development all in one industrial modular package
make this system the ideal solution for a wide range of monitoring
and control applications in todayıs open architecture manufacturing
environment.

The system provides
from eight to 128 channels of isolated analog and digital I/O with
built-in l0/l00BaseT Ethernet and a CPU running the Windows CE 3.0
operating system. Networked and distributed monitoring and control
applications can be implemented using Microsoftıs free embedded Visual
Tools. The built-in networking, including a TCP/IP stack, allows applications
to communicate with other computers and other similar units on your
network as part of a plant-wide control and monitoring solution. The
system can support up to 460 MB of nonvolatile storage, allowing it
to be used in stand-alone data logging, data acquisition systems,
or to continue operating and logging data in the event of a network
disruption.
The unit enables
a single system to function as both the machine and process control
system, and to also function as the machine monitoring system, providing
real-time and processing information to the companyıs manufacturing
execution systems. The system supports many networking standards including
TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, DHCP, and time synchronization.
The EDAS CE system
starts at $1,190. A system configured with eight digital inputs,
four digital outputs, and 16 analog inputs costs $2,010.
