AN HC11 FILE MANAGER

Lessons from the Trenches Part 2ýAll of the Details

CONCLUSION

I have a few suggestions for additions to the file manager. First, you may want to add multitasking. In issue 8 of RS&T, there was an excellent article on multitasking the 68HC11 written by Jim Salvino. The source code he wrote could be adapted into this file manager.

Right now, a program canýt use the RTI interrupt. However, with some simple additions to the file manager, you can have your programs share the RTI with the file manager.

And finally, currently a program canýt be deleted, so that capability would be a good addition to the file manager.

Well, thatýs it! Please feel free to change and hack through the file manager. I hope this article has been helpful. If you would like more assistance, donýt hesitate to contact me. Have fun!
