Dual Pentium
III Computer
The GW2601
6U CompactPCI CPU supports single Celeron processors and single
or dual Intel Pentium Ill processors at speeds up to 850 MHz. Its
scaleable design makes it ideal for modest performance, cost-conscientious
applications, as well as high performance, speed-intensive applications.
The new CPU offers OEMs a highly integrated solution.

The computer incorporates
the Socket 370 (FC-PGA) 850 MHz Pentium III with the 440BX chip set.
It supports a 100 MHz front side bus with up to 768 MB of SDRAM. The
CPU has up to 128 MB of CompactFlash for program and data storage.
The board is an ideal computing core for many embedded applications
and operating systems.
Additional features
include dual 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet, PMC expansion, and AGP (Advanced
Graphics Port) Video. The GW2601 supports a full set of standard PC
peripherals such as Ultra DMA IDE, floppy, CD-ROM, USB, serial, parallel,
mouse, and keyboard.
Other features
include serial port console redirection, a battery-backed real-time
clock, watchdog timer, and CPU temperature monitors. Rear-panel I/O
is achieved with the GW2702 rear-panel I/O card. The GW2601 is compatible
with a new line of CompactPCl backplanes that integrate standard PC
peripheral connectors. Supported operating systems include Windows
NT, Linux, and VxWorks.
The GW2601 starts
at $1895 in OEM quantities.
