PORT-SIDE APPLICATIONS

On the port side, the CYP25G01K100 high-speed PSI is targeted at SONET/SDH interface solutions. It was specifically designed to meet the Bellcore jitter requirements for SONET/SDH networks. The high-speed PSIýs combination of programmability and OC-48 PHY capability enables communications solutions designers to develop cutting edge OC-48 optical solutions and get them to market quickly.

The programmability enables you to create customized and flexible solutions for the parallel-side interface. For example, you can take an OC-48 datastream from the serial side and convert it to a 32- or 64-bit parallel-bus topology on the other.
