CompactPCI
Frame Grabber
The CP337
is a 3U CompactPCI advanced frame-grabber board. The 32-bit board
provides up to four image-input connections and is especially suited
for 3-D machine vision, surveillance, and real-time medical image
processing applications.

The frame grabber
provides high-quality, simultaneous digitization of two monochrome
CCIR and RS170 video signals. Non-standard video formats can be interpreted
via a camera editor application program that allows the user to define
parameter sets. The new PEP frame grabber has 8-bit image acquisition,
with up to 16-MHz sampling rates. Image data is transferred in real-time
to the host or video memory via a PCI bus using twin DMA channels.
Image data can be scaled via an onboard vertical and horizontal interpolation
scaler for real-time image reduction, and can be mirrored, or converted
to another format in real-time before being transferred to the local
or hostęs graphic memory.
The device offers
five different synchronization modes and an opto-isolated external
hardware trigger for asynchronous image acquisition with a data transfer
rate of up to 132 Mb/set for all acquisition modes. Additionally,
a write-protection mask secures video RAM areas while superimposing
text or graphics onto a moving image. The frame grabber is programmed
through Windows NT 4.0 with a Twain driver and application development
software that includes a C++ class library, and a language-independent
function library.
The price of the
CP337 frame grabber is $1182.
