NEW PRODUCT NEWSedited by Rick Prescott

New ProductsAuto-contrast-adjusting LCD

The LM4047 low-profile display uses flat response fluid (FRF) that provides stable contrast (without adjustment) over its operating temperature range. This feature is beneficial where the ambient temperature around the display is likely to change. FRF obviates the need for temperature compensation circuitry or manual adjustment of the contrast voltage commonly used on LCD displays.

With Chip-on-Board (COB) technology, the LCD display is only 6.0-mm deep. The module size is 74 mm ý 19.5 mm and it is lightweight.

The display operates on a 3- or 5-VDC single power supply. Operating temperature range varies from ý20 to 70ý C. The display has flat-temperature response. For rugged and reliable operation, heat-seal connection technology is incorporated.

Prices start at less than $9 for quantities of 1000.
