The Tattletale
Model 8v2 is an improved version of the Tattletale Model 8. This
new model is superior for embedded applications that require fast
sampling rates, extensive control functions, and sophisticated computing
capability.

The controlleręs
powerful 68332 processor operates at clock rates dynamically adjustable
from 160 to 16 MHz. The built-in time processor controls two timers
and 16 I/O lines, each individually programmable for discrete I/O
(period or pulse width measurement, stepper/servo motor control, or
auxiliary UARTs). For needs beyond the onboard 256K RAM, 256K flash
memory, and 8-channel, 12-bit, 100-KHz A/D converter, the controller
offers pin and socket expansion, QSPI, and PCMCIA memory card expansion.
The newest model
offers easier system integration, increased flexibility for modular
systems, and enhanced mechanical integrity. Reduced higher-level assembly
time and material cost, stackable (mezzanine) interface, and faster
field retrofits are additional benefits. It uses standard off-the-shelf
2.0-mm center pin and socket connectors and offers visual confirmation
of proper orientation to interfacing boards.
The controller
with pin and socket sells for $495. It is available with 1
MB of RAM for $895.
