AUDIO4-USB PORTABLE DSP DATA ACQUISITION

The Audio4-USB is an external, high-performance DSP-based data-acquisition system with a low-noise, high dynamic range analog I/O subsystem. It connects to the host PC via the USB interface operating in high-speed mode (12 MHz). Its small size (1" ý 2.5" ý 4"), low power consumption, and USB interface makes it ideal for laptop and notebook-based data acquisition. Primary applications are in the fields of acoustic and audio measurement and analysis, speech processing, 3D sound, signal synthesis, and applications requiring portable field-based data acquisition and measurement.

The audio subsystem is based on two stereo 16-bit CODECS that provide four input and four output channels with sampling rates ranging from 8 to 48 kHz.

The BoxView development system enables downloading and debugging of user programs on the Audio4-USB. In the basic software configuration, the system comes with sample audio applications and user libraries allowing for full control of the DSP56307 processor.

The Audio4-USB sells for $1200.
