Dr. Arturo Mediano holds
a teaching professorship with special interests in RF (HF/VHF/UHF technology)
and EMI/EMC design for Telecom and Electrical Engineers at the Centro Politýcnico
Superior of the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Dr. Mediano's design and
management responsibilities include projects in broadcast and mobile communications,
and he is a member of the MTT-17 (HF/VHF/UHF technology) Technical Committee
of the IEEE. Dr. Mediano has also been a research/design engineer for the
power electronics industry on EMI/EMC problems and RF design since 1990.

Be Careful With Clock Demons!
Your clock needs
big and fast current transients from your power supply
(typ. +3V or +5V). Think of fast as "with high frequency energy
components." If you do not prevent it, current demand will flow through
the power and ground buses. You can expect radiation or common impedance
problems in such a situation (e.g., big loops or common GND layout with
susceptible circuits).
