Water Graphic Feature Topic

How Can We Deal with Interference from a Welder?

Question from TW:

There is a room where they have computers that they run programs on for utilizing the CNC equipment out on the Model shop floor. Immediately on the other side of the wall is a large metal table where a TIG welder is occassionally used. When this welder is used, it causes these programs on the computers to lock up.

I was hoping you could give me some advice on what to do.

Our objective is to help engineers in the design, systems, and test disciplines with their EMI/EMC (electromagnetic interference & compatibility) problems. We do this in two ways:

  1. By guiding engineers to companies that supply exactly the part they are looking for, and
  2. By providing engineering tools for comparison of components, even from multiple companies.

The goal is to help both EMC and non-EMC personnel find solutions to their EMC problems. It uses sophisticated database technology, and is available (FREE) on the Internet. Costs are borne by vendor-paid advertising.
