Bill Sprouse is a Senior Software Engineer for Honeywell Security/C & K Systems,
Inc. in Folsom, California, where he is programming real-time signal-processing applications for motion detectors. He wrote the
firmware for the company's 6805 and 8051 based designs.
Bill has also applied for patents for anti-mask sensing and improved signal analysis algorithms, and he has been

Making a Cooperative DES Algorithm
A Case Study - Part 1
So far this series of articles has presented a method of writing a cooperative multitasking system without the use of an embedded RTOS. In this article we will look at converting a real world algorithm to work within the constraints of this type of a system. The example I choose is a DES encryption algorithm.

Making a Cooperative DES Algorithm
A Case Study - Part II
In the previous article I showed how to convert a DES key creation algorithm to a cooperative multitasking system. This article will finish by showing how to convert the encryption/decryption algorithm.
