A Bunch of Numbers All in a Row... This is one of the best TYNs Ive ever run across. It even stumped Scott Hover of Warp Ant Speed fame. (Only for a few days though, Scott is one of the best puzzle solvers Ive ever known.) Ever since cave men started counting on their fingers and determined that the order of numbers should be 1,2,3,4... There have been those other nerdy cave men (the ones that couldnt get any cave womenJ) that spent their spare time figuring out sequences and series of numbers (when you dont have a cave woman, you have a lot of time on your hands). One might wonder why we have set up super computers to calculate the number pi out to a billion or more decimal places. I think there is some type of primeval curiosity to find a pattern in everything. There is some basic urge that keeps us wondering just what comes next. Thus this latest puzzle is simply stated, "what is the next number in this series?" 3, 3, 5, 4, 4, 3, 5, 5, 4... Problem is simply stated doesnt always mean simply solved. If you thought that was easy, or your noodle is over heating from too much thought, try this one. It is my own variation of the theme: 5, 6, 5, 6, 5, 5, 7, 6, 5, 5... Same rules apply. No hints for a couple days (Remember you have to sweat a little to enjoy a good noodle twister!) If you are sure you have it, email me and Ill let you know.
