EE Expert Dennis Feucht

EE Expert IconDennis L. Feucht is the director of Innovatia Laboratories, an electronic product design and licensing enterprise. He has been involved in motion control and power electronics design since 1985. He has since consulted on medical instrument design, internal combustion engine thermodynamics modeling, airbag manufacturing test equipment, and rocket propulsion and flight control components. Dennis has also written the book Analog Circuit Design (Academic Press, 1990), and is interested in alternative-energy systems (solar PV, wind, and fuel cells) and in advancing motor-drive and power conversion and control through the invention of new techniques. A Current Amplifier Driving an Inductive Load

Motor windings, deflection yokes, solenoids, and inductance heaters present inductive loads to the amplifiers that drive them. A feedback current amplifier that can drive these loads with a flat frequency response requires careful attention to the sense resistor.
