Detection and Correction Using the BCH Code
Part 4: Types of Code
We
are looking at the BCH error detection and correction code,
going first through some preliminary background on the
mathematical basis of code.
Now that
we have a field in which to do computations, what we need
next is a philosophy for encoding and decoding data in order
to detect and possibly correct errors. Here we are taking
advantage of results discovered by the hard work of perhaps
a hundred individuals just in the last 50 years.
