Full-scale promotion of value-added product launched to fast growing high-end server market Hynix Semiconductor Inc. today announced it has developed a 1GB DDR Registered DIMM and is introducing it to the market. Following on the heels of the sucessful launching of the 1GB SDR DIMM last year for high-end server applications, Hynix developed the 1GB DDR Registered DIMM, following development of the 512MB high-density module. (ChipCenter: WebScan) Mitsubishi Electric offers 2-Gbyte registered DIMMs for high-end servers and workstations, and 512-Mbyte PC2700 SO-DIMMs for notebook computers The Electronic Device Group of Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc., today announced DDR(1) and SDR(2) synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) based DIMM(3) families as large as 2 Gbytes for main memory applications in high-end servers and workstations, and PC2700 SO-DIMM(4) families as large as 512 Mbytes for main memory uses in notebook computers. Crucial and Micron provide PC2700 DDR SDRAM to the upgrade market Crucial Technologyı, a division of Micronı and one of the world's largest direct memory upgrade providers, is offering Micron's high-quality PC2700 double data rate (DDR) synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) to end users. The new, higher-speed memory upgrade modules are immediately available to Crucial customers in 128MB and 256MB densities through the Crucial Web site at Crucial.com. (ChipCenter: WebScan) Micron Technology, Inc., announces samples of revised PC2700 DIMM modules To meet the new JEDEC module standard, Micron has added stub resistors on the addressing/command lines of the module. This enhancement improves the signal integrity of the module at high frequencies. The 128MB and 256MB unbuffered DDR DIMM SDRAM has a 333Mhz data rate with a bandwidth of up to 2.7GB/s.
