Peregrine rolls out PLL IC family with embedded EEPROM
Operating at frequencies from 500 MHz to 2800 MHz, the PE3341/PE3342 Ultra-Thin-Silicon (UTSi) PLLs incorporate an embedded 20-bit EEPROM memory that designers can program to set the PLL counter values at device power-up, which eliminates the need for any external programming support logic for fixed frequency applications. Virage Logic Signs Embedded Memory Agreement with UMC
Virage Logic became one of UMC�s Gold IP partners by signing a multi-million dollar, multi-generation and multi-year agreement to deliver its embedded memories on UMC�s technology processes. Currently, UMC offers 0.18-, 0.15- and 0.13-micron processes, which Virage Logic will use for its SRAM-based Self Test and Repair (STAR) memory system and Area Speed and Power (ASAP) high density embedded memories.
